In line with the Arab Open University’s commitment to its social responsibility and developmental role in serving Arab communities, the University strongly believes in the importance of supporting humanitarian initiatives that promote social solidarity and preserve resources. Among these are initiatives aimed at saving surplus food and reducing food waste.
This direction aligns with the humanitarian and developmental vision established by the University’s founder, His Royal Highness Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (may he rest in peace), and continuously supported and strengthened by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. This reflects a firm belief in empowering educational institutions to play a vital role not only in education, but also in actively contributing to community service and in promoting the values of giving, responsibility, and human solidarity.
From this standpoint, the University is keen to support community initiatives that raise awareness about preserving resources and to harness intellectual and academic capabilities in service of humanitarian work and sustainable development.
