A delegation led by Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Zakari, President of the Arab Open University across the Arab world, visited the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport on Sunday, 18 October 2026, accompanied by a delegation from AOU Egypt headed by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Hamza, President of AOU Egypt.
The delegation was received by Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar, President of the Academy. Both sides discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and explore partnership opportunities in emerging fields, particularly artificial intelligence and information technology, to advance education, training and scientific research and equip Arab youth with the skills needed to keep pace with rapid technological developments.
