Prof. Mohammad bin Ibrahim Al-Zakari, President of the Arab Open University (AOU), received the Algerian Ambassador to Kuwait HE Abdulmalik Buhduo at his office, AOU Headquarters, to explore avenues of cooperation between the Peoples' Democratic Republic of Algeria and the AOU in addition to the means of academic cooperation as well as the exchange of expertise and experience with the Ministry of Higher Education in Algeria.
During the visit, HE Ambassador praised the role of the University, and HRH Prince Abdualziz bin Talal, Chairman of the University's Board of Trustees as well as its members, in providing higher education opportunities to all Arab youth through offering various academic majors and programs meeting the aspirations of the students and the needs of the Arab labor market. He also commended Kuwait's interest and its support to academic and developmental institutions and bodies at the Arab and international levels.
On his part, Prof. Mohammad Al-Zakari expressed his thanks to HE Ambassador Abdulmalik Buhduo for his visit to the University, and pointed out the visit is an opportunity to enhance cooperation and strengthen the relationship between the AOU and Algeria in the areas of education and development that serve the interest of the University and Algerian society.
