Prof. Mohammed Al-Zakari, President of the Arab Open University, participated in the Arab E-Learning Universities Conference held at the American University in Cairo, Egypt.
In his address during a seminar on blended and distance learning, Prof. Al-Zakari emphasized the importance of focusing on high-quality educational content. He also highlighted the necessity of evaluating learning outcomes based on the acceptance rate of distance learning graduates in the job market, in order for this educational system to gain global recognition similar to traditional on-campus education.
Ms. Agaby Elber, an English literature lecturer at the Arab Open University in Egypt, discussed the foundations of electronic higher education and its accreditation process worldwide. She also presented her personal experience with blended learning as a graduate student at the university.
Ms. Agaby highlighted her unique book in the Middle East and the role of the distinctive education provided by the university in supporting students' scientific and academic achievements and ambitions in the job market.
