The International Conference on Smart Management and Innovation for Sustainable Cities, titled "Envisioning the Future of Smart Cities," commenced under the patronage of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. The event was attended by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Nader Abdullah Al-Jalal, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, the President of the Arab Open University in the Arab World, Prof. Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Zakari, along with members of the diplomatic corps, civil organizations, and representatives from public and private sectors. A distinguished group of experts and scholars from various countries gathered at the Arab Open University headquarters in Kuwait.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Nader Al-Jalal, emphasized Kuwait's commitment to fostering innovation and investing in the future, believing that technology and smart management are the two fundamental pillars for achieving a prosperous economy, an advanced society, and a sustainable environment. These align with environmental, economic, and social development goals.
In his address, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal Al Saud stated that the conference serves as a platform for exchanging ideas and expertise among an elite group of experts, researchers, and decision-makers worldwide. It aims to shape the future of smart cities and guide them toward achieving sustainable development goals.
Meanwhile, the President of the Arab Open University, Prof. Mohammed Al-Zakari, highlighted that the conference reflects a deep commitment to supporting the "New Kuwait 2035" vision and sustainable development objectives.
