The Arab Open University (AOU) hosted its periodic partnership conference with its counterpart, The Open University in the United Kingdom, at its headquarters in Kuwait on July 7–8, 2025. The conference was attended by senior management and experts from both institutions.

The event addressed recent academic developments at AOU, challenges of aligning education with labor market demands, and key themes such as sustainability, transitioning to a green campus, entrepreneurship, student wellbeing, and preparing graduates for leadership. The conference also featured roundtable discussions aimed at fostering academic collaboration and knowledge exchange.
