Prof. Mohammed Al-Zakari, President of the Arab Open University (AOU), accompanied by Prof. Omar Al-Jarrah, Vice President for Planning and Development, paid a working visit to The Open University in the United Kingdom to strengthen cooperation and partnership between the two universities and explore opportunities for joint initiatives in the coming period.
The visit covered several areas of mutual interest, including future projects and initiatives that could be implemented collaboratively, with particular emphasis on artificial intelligence, skills development, and micro-credentials. These areas aim to support the development of academic programmes and expand opportunities for flexible and lifelong learning.
The visit also provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives and expertise on advancing the strategic partnership between the two universities and leveraging their respective experience to foster innovation in education and respond to the evolving needs of the labour market.
