Prof. Mohammad bin Ibrahim Al-Zakari, President of the Arab Open University (AOU) in the Arab world, participated in the Sixth Forum of Presidents of Islamic Universities, organized by the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World under the umbrella of ICESCO, held in the Moroccan capital, Rabat.
During his participation, Prof. Al-Zakari delivered a scholarly intervention in which he discussed the future of higher education, both traditional and electronic. He highlighted the challenges and opportunities in light of the accelerating technological and knowledge transformations. He also showcased the Arab Open University’s experience as a pioneering model in blended learning across the Arab world, noting the university’s achievements in expanding access to education and improving its outcomes.
