The Executive Secretarial Programme is offered within the College of Business Administration and allows deaf and hard-of-hearing students to enroll in the bachelor's programme after successfully completing the preparatory year. They will engage in an academic programme consisting of eight semesters and a total of 128 credit hours.
The study plan is structured to allow the deaf and hard-of-hearing students to earn a bachelor's degree in Executive Secretarial Studies over a period of four years, divided into eight semesters.
The programme's courses are selected based on the actual needs of deaf and hard-of-hearing students to interact socially, economically, cognitively, and psychologically, making them more professional, functional, and interactive with the labor market and society.
The programme begins with a preparatory year designed to bridge the gap between secondary education and the academic demands of university life. This preparatory year helps students adapt to the academic environment and prepares them for university-level learning.

The Executive Secretarial Bachelor's Program for deaf and hard-of-hearing students aims to achieve the following goals:

  1. Provide academic and professional preparation for students to work and participate in various professional fields according to their abilities, preparedness, and career interests, enabling them to pursue careers in governmental, security, social, and economic sectors, both public and private.
  2. Focus on deaf and hard-of-hearing students who were unable to complete their university education due to special circumstances, as they have not received adequate attention from university programs across the Arab world.
  3. Prepare deaf and hard-of-hearing students, regardless of gender, to be active members of their communities, helping them achieve social integration and psychological and educational adjustment, benefiting both themselves and their families and communities.
  4. Employ modern technology to improve the learning environment for students, keeping pace with contemporary global trends in the education of deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals.
  5. Offer professional and career opportunities suited to the labor market, provide deaf and hard-of-hearing students with the chance to pursue careers that open up broader opportunities compared to traditional university systems.
  6. Use modern educational methods and evidence-based teaching strategies.
  7. Utilize research findings on the best practices for educating deaf and hard-of-hearing students at the university level.

Career Opportunities

The Executive Secretarial Bachelor's Program prepares deaf and hard-of-hearing students to work in administrative, office, and computing jobs suitable to their abilities and interests in both the public and private sectors. These positions include, but are not limited to:

  1. Working in government jobs, ministries, and the public sector.
  2. Working in airline companies.

  4. Working in courts and security departments.
  5. Working in domestic trade companies and institutions.
