Significant Statistics at the Faculty of Language Studies  

The Faculty of Language Studies (FLS) administers major specializations offered by the Arab Open University (AOU) in its nine branches in the Arab regions.
Statistics comprise one of the major sources that guide its plans and activities and govern its scholarship, course design and expansion guidelines.
Today, FLS offers a BA Program (Hons) in English Language and Literature (ELL) in all AOU branches, and a BA Program(Hons) in English Language, Literature and Translation (ELLT) in three branches and soon in other branches.
As of the first semester of 2012, FLS started offering an MA Program in English Literature at the AOU/Jordan Branch. AOU/Egypt Branch started offering the same Program as of the spring semester of 2017/18.  A second MA program in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) was validated in October 2019 to be offered in Spt. 2020.  It was locally accredited and offered in Egypt in Feb. 2021 then in Bahrain in Sept. 2022, and soon it will be offered in other AOU branches.
This brief description of FLS activities underscores the importance of statistics in the daily running of its academic tasks. A synopsis of these statistics is delineated below:
