This project aims to develop an electronic system for calculating Islamic inheritance in an accurate and user-friendly manner. Many individuals face difficulties in understanding the detailed rules of Islamic inheritance (Fara'id), which often leads to calculation errors or disputes among heirs. The proposed system provides a technical solution that automatically calculates and distributes the estate according to verified Islamic Sharia rules.
The system allows users to input the deceased's information, estate value, and heirs' categories. A rule-based calculation engine then applies the principles of fixed shares (Fara'id), residuaries (Asabah), and exclusion (Hajb) to produce precise monetary results. The project includes a simple web interface, a structured database, and a report generation feature. This prototype can be expanded into an official platform serving Sharia authorities, legal institutions, and the general public in Oman.
