The 3D Interior Design Visualization System is a web-based application designed to help users visualize and customize apartment interiors in a realistic 3D environment before construction is completed. The system provides an affordable and user-friendly alternative to expensive interior design software by allowing users to access all features directly through a web browser without installation.
The project uses artificial intelligence to provide smart assistance during the design process. The AI suggests suitable furniture placement, detects wall alignment, warns users about object collisions and spacing issues, and helps optimize room layouts in real time. Users can upload a 2D floor plan and convert it into a 3D model, then customize the interior by adding furniture, doors, windows, and decorative elements using drag-and-drop functionality.
The system also supports multi-floor house visualization with stairs and enables users to experience a first-person walkthrough inside the designed environment. In addition, users can save their projects locally and share their designs on social media platforms.
The project was developed using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES6, Three.js, WebGL, GLTF/GLB models, GLTFLoader, OrbitControls, Raycasting, and localStorage technologies.
This project was inspired by real challenges faced in the construction industry, where customers often struggle to imagine the final appearance of apartments before they are built. The goal of the system is to make interior visualization more accessible, interactive, and cost-effective.
