This project covers the design and simulation of a hierarchical smart campus network using Cisco Packet Tracer, incorporating VLAN segmentation, dual-stack IPv4/IPv6 addressing, IoT automation (smart lighting, HVAC, door access, and RFID attendance), and network security through ACLs, port security, and SSH management.
The project further integrates GIS technology via the Esri ArcGIS platform, adding a spatial intelligence layer to the network through an interactive campus map (ArcGIS Online), a real-time monitoring dashboard (ArcGIS Dashboards), live IoT data streaming (GeoEvent Server), a Wi-Fi coverage heatmap (ArcGIS Pro), and field data collection (Survey123). This combination of network engineering and GIS represents the project's core contribution - transforming a simulated topology into a spatially-aware smart campus management system.
